Andi Clark, RN, Chief Strategist
Andi Clark is the founder of Andi Clark & Associates LLC, and the Chief Strategist. The company specializes in post-acute clinical, regulatory, and operational strategy with focus on innovation, process improvement and organizational and personal learning. This company offers the healthcare continuum a unique group of credentialed advisors who are experts in their profession.
Andi is a Registered Nurse and healthcare senior executive who has focused on clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and process improvement in a career devoted to improving post-acute patient care. Her visionary leadership and high expectations stimulates innovation and performance excellence. Andi is a strong advocate of the professional nurse, who she believes must stand proud as a role model for all members of the healthcare team through their knowledge, compassion, and integrity.
Andi currently serves as the Clinical Practice Chairman for the American Health Care Association (AHCA), and is a member of the AHCA Quality Cabinet.
For the past 13 years she was the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services at Golden Living, where she had responsibility for patient care outcomes and quality improvement for 30,000 patients in 24 states. Andi also directed the clinical education and competency for 8,000 nurses and 14,000 certified nursing assistants. In her leadership role, she guided collaboration and partnership between Golden Living and its subsidiaries, Aegis Rehabilitation, Asercare Hospice, and Home Health. Under Andi’s guidance, Golden Living’s CMS 5 Star Ratings exceeded all competition, with improvements year over year. Andi chaired the Golden Living Senior Management Performance Excellence Council, and championed Quality Assurance and Process Improvement throughout the company. She was also a member of the Golden Living Board of Directors.
Prior to Golden Living, Andi joined Beverly Enterprises as a Group Vice President, with responsibility for operations and clinical outcomes for 12 Skilled Nursing Facilities. As the first woman who held this position, she was a role model for the many executive women that followed. She became a Regional Director of Clinical Services with responsibility for 70 skilled nursing facilities in 6 states, she was then promoted to Sr. Vice President of Clinical Services. Her responsibilities included assuring excellent patient care, process improvement, regulatory compliance, and clinical education. As an Officer of Beverly Enterprises, she served on the Board of Directors until the company was sold.
Early in her career, Andi served as a Director of Nursing of a Skilled Nursing Facility where she quickly developed a passion for excellence and a commitment to the elderly patient and their families. This position led to her promotion to the Executive Director of a 692 bed Long Term Care Facility. As the Executive Director, she developed a successful Adult Day Care program, as well as one of the first Medicare approved SNF based Home Health Agencies. This “campus concept” of the care continuum was a driver of patient care excellence as well as financial success.
She graduated from Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Nursing and received a BS in Management from Cardinal Stritch University. She also has a Certificate in Nursing Management from Marquette University.
